Boy, have I got a blog. Actually, it’s more of a witness:
The church to which I go has been trying to complete a building for the last several years. It’s a pretty good-sized one, with a 2000 seat auditorium and a 300-seat cafĂ©. Well, one thing after another happened, and we had a shell of a building with some interior stuff roughed, but there was one whole side of it incomplete. So we kinda had a covered amphitheatre.
Well, my pastor, Eastman Curtis, had gone to preach at a church in Uganda which was also building a building. So Eastman sent the offering which would normally go toward our building to the church in Uganda.
Within a week of doing so, our church got four offers on some land we’d had for sale for the last several years. Long story short, last week, we closed on the sale of that land and got a check for just over a hundred times what we’d sown into that church in Uganda. The back of our building is going to be closed in and the building will be finished, and I’m believing we’ll be in that new building by the end of the year!
But one thing to note: it’s not about the building. Get it? It’s not about the building. The building is a tool, a place to have people come and get led to the Lord. Bless God, there’s room at Destiny Church now, and in just a little while, with this new tool, there’s gonna be a whole bunch more!
I’m telling you, if you sow into God’s work, God’s blessings will flow into your life!

dishwasherlog
I'm feeling a little glum right now. Nobody's on the Yahoo! IM who's answering me--so nobody really to talk to, unless I call Dale out in California, but it's too late right now.
I'm playing Labyrinth for the second time tonight. I'm in a fantasy sort of mood, actually, though not enough of one to actually watch the movie. I'm just listening to it. Maybe I'll hear it this time, without the dishwasher going. Whenever I get my own house, I'm going to make sure I get, or it has, a very quiet dishwasher. Or good soundproofing so I can turn up whatever I'm listening to while the dishwasher's going.
I'm also making tater tots. I don't know how many of them I'll make--probably not a lot.
I'd better not continue, or I'll get myself in a sour mood.
Today, I thank God for control, and for his having it.
Later.
