thanks again

There are a few things I'm thankful for, but to me, they're big things.
I've gotten hired on at the place where I've been temping for a while, so that means a little more job security and benefits, so thank God for that.

Also, I was able to attend an acting class to which I'd wanted to go for a long time and not have to pay all the money up front.

Additionally, I'm able to understudy for a part in a movie--it's unpaid, but it's experience, and while I'm believing for PAID acting gigs, and while I have a few doubts about the role, it's an honor to be considered, even as a backup. I'll leave it to God to decide whether I'll actually get the part. The cool thing about it is learning to develop a character, which is something I haven't gotten to do much. In the past, either the character was so small I didn't spend much time on it, or it was so close to me I didnt' need to develop it much, as I kind of already knew what to do. This character is pretty far from me, so it's a challenge.

And there's this: sometimes, I'll feel the urging, the call of God to go to this university campus I love, Oral Roberts Univ. I love the spiritual atmosphere there, the physical atmosphere there--it's what I call a spiritual hotspot. I'll walk around this central building called the Prayer Tower, which is surrounded by this beautiful, aptly named Prayer Garden. I'll take a lap around it, more a loop actually, walking from the car, up around the Tower and back, nice and casual. Anyway, usually I get the thought to go there while I'm still driving around sometime. This time, I got it when I'd already been home and was fiddling around with a movie I'm editing. And it didn't go away. God said he wanted me to take a lap and that he wanted to talk to me. Of course, God can talk to anybody at any time, any place. That said, there are certain places where it's easier for us to listen to him--these are the spiritual hotspots.
So I went, wondering what God wanted to talk to me about. I go there, and it's a beautiful night, and one of the last for a while. About 65-70 degrees. In November.

Well, when I got out of my car, which I parked kinda far from the garden, I could hear some music, just a little--I thought it was a pep rally over in the athletic complex or something. As I drew nearer to the Tower, the music got louder, and I realized there was a jazz band playing right by the tower with several dozen students around, enjoying it. So I just stood there enjoying it. And God said to me, "I love you. I just wanted to treat you to something." All this getting me to go tonight, at this time, was just God's way of saying He loved me--by doing something extra special for me. I don't believe God arranged the band for ME alone, of course, but I do believe he wanted to bless me by having me go enjoy it, be a part of it. So thank you, God for that.

Thanking God--giving Him praise...again!

Well, here's the latest: not only is God helping me in the acting and filmmaking with more roles and good people to work with who show me favor; He is also opening a door for the writing for me to do some stuff for pay for that, _and_ I'm being hired on at the place of the temp job I've been working the last couple of years. Glory to God for that! Once again, if I do my part, God will do His part, thank God! Hallelujah!

never mind

Never mind the previous post about Yahoo News Video finally working on a Mac. It generally doesn't, unless, I think, you've got Internet Explorer on the thing.
