more gratitude

I was just watching the movie "Amazing Grace", which came out this year and more recently on DVD. Point is, and you'll need to watch the movie to get this fully, I came to a new realization of how grateful I am that God made me the way I am, lest I share the views of certain misguided parties, particularly one who ran out of coin in a poker game and added his n***er (their word, my edit) to the pot. Thank you, God, for that and for having me born in the time in which I was.

praise report

Just wanted to give a praise report: I'm listening to the August 28th healing service with Gloria Copeland from Kenneth Copeland Ministries' Great Lakes Believer's Convention and am being so blessed by all the testimonies of healing. Praise report--healing of my knees. I had abused them, but through prayer and following God's advice, I've gone from limping down stairs to almost skipping down them. Praise God for that! I've also agreed in prayer for other healing in my body, such as for a cyst on my wrist (it's benign but, well, it's just not supposed to be there, so I believe it's dissolving as I type this) and for replacement of thinned-out hair. I don't mind baldness, but if it's because of something wrong with my body, then I receive healing of it. Add to this that God's been working on me to become a better receiver, and I'm getting opportunities to put this into action. For example, tonight a co-worker offered me some food he'd gotten (I'd given him some earlier)--I don't need it, but it turns out you bless the giver when you receive graciously. Pretty cool, huh? Praise God for that!
