growth, assurance
Right now, I thank God for growth, increased peace, assurance and a conscience. Very, very good stuff. Thanks, Father.

Today, I'm thankful for sleep, Netflix, compensation, resources, my sofa, orange sherbet ice cream (fat free and fewer cals than regular ice cream), interesting television shows, work, play, family and friends. And, of course, movies and my computer. Thank You, Father.
today
Today, I thank God for education and healing--He's the best source for both. Thank You, Father.

I'm also soooo grateful for peoples' willingness to help me out, usually with advice, when I seek it. And for the honor of helping them out, usually with advice, when they seek it. Thanks, Father, for that, too--and thanks, people. :)

Today, I thank God for another pound lost. :)

confirmation
Today, I'm glad I have confirmation that I'm hearing from the Lord--I was reading in Proverbs, had a question about a verse and, turns out, God gave me the answer, but I wasn't sure I was hearing it right. I felt like the Holy Spirit was nudging me to go look up a commentary on it, but I wrote in my devotional journal instead, where God told me in longer form what the commentary, Matthey Henry's Concise Commentary on the Bible, would tell me later. Y'know, I can save a lot of time and effort, even if it's fruitful like this, but just doing what the Holy Spirit tells me.
Thanks, Father.
Thanks, Father.
budget
Today, I thank God He showed me that part of financial prosperity is not just giving and sowing but being a good steward of what He's given me...which in my case means *gasp* budgeting. Thank You, Lord.

salvation prayer
If you feel you should pray this, then do. Out loud. "Jesus, I receive You as my Lord and my Savior. Take my life and do something with it." If you prayed that and meant it, congratulations and welcome! You're saved! You're going to Heaven! In the meantime, get into a good, Bible-preaching and believing church and get yourself a good Bible--maybe start in the book of Matthew and start getting into it. Again, welcome! :-D There are angels rejoicing over this and cheering for you now. :-)

gas
Another cool thing God's doing that I'm grateful for--the car's getting better mileage. A lot better--I'm almost at 400 miles on one tank and the warning light hasn't gone off yet. I still have a little under a quarter of a tank to go. This usually only happens on trips, and while a lot of miles have been on highways, it's also been in town. I thank God for making the gas strrrrrrrretch. :)

coffee maker
I'm thankful and blessed for this coffee maker my sister gave me--the old one didn't make enough coffee at a time. This one, I don't fill up all the way--it's got the potential to make too much. :) What's that verse that says God'll supply our needs exceedingly, abundantly above all that we could ask or think? ;) Thanks again, Father. Thanks again, sis. Love ya both.

salvation prayer
If you feel like you should pray this prayer, then do so, and do it out loud where you can hear it: "Jesus, I receive you as my Lord and my Savior. Take my life and do something with it. In Jesus' Name, amen." If you prayed that and meant it, you're saved. You're going to Heaven instead of Hell. Now go get into a good, Bible-preaching church and get a good Bible and get into that (I suggest you start with the book of Matthew). Welcome to the Family of God! :-D

movie
So I wanted to see myself in a big, national movie in my favorite theater. God provided that, and I was grateful, though not satisfied. A bit disappointed, actually. I thought that was it. That was all I was gonna get. I thought that kinda sucked, but I was willing to be content with it--how many people get to say they were in a real, big-time movie? But God's just said, "Oh, no. We're just getting started." Thanks, Father, for the affirmation. I love You for that.

fat
It just occurred to me (not for the first time) that if you have what you say, maybe I should stop saying I'm fat. Thanks for that reminder, Father. :)
influence
Just watching an old episode of This Old House where they were pointing up some NBA players and musicians using their star power to bring attention to the need for help for New Orleans, and it struck me in a deeper way the importance of doing good with whatever influence/resources you have. We all have influence. We c...an all do something. Thanks Father, for the emphasis and the reminder.

knowledge
It's so cool how God answers niggling questions I've had, and even forgot, for a long time. For example--fearing God doesn't mean being scared of Him but honoring Him--doing what He says to do and not doing what He says not to do. Righteous--those who do what God says. Walk--manner of behaviour; conduct; a course of life (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/walk ) Very cool.
Thanks, Father. :-)
Thanks, Father. :-)

quote
Great quote from a Keith Moore message, a word God gave him while he was talking about doing the Word of God, acting on the knowledge (light) that you have: "Don't say 'how?'; just act now." That really spoke to me, as I'd been asking that a lot in the not-too-distant past. Thanks for the quote, Father. :-)

life verse
So I was reading Proverbs 13 today, and God told me the next verse in which I saw the word "prosperity" (not in Prov. 13 but after that), I should take as my life verse. Proverbs 21:21. Pretty good one, I think. Thanks, Father.

resources, paid bills and air conditioning
Today, I thank God for unexpected resources and bills being paid. :-D And for good air conditioning. Thanks, Father.
grateful
Today, I'm grateful for my buddy Heidi, God's giving her tremendous artistic skills and patience, Eastman Curtis, Darla and Celebration Church for a place to work, a great day of storyboard work, for collaboration and inspiration, Apple for putting a good game on an old iPod of mine, my dentist and her God-given skills...

computer
I'm grateful to God that the damage to my computer is less than I'd thought--just cosmetic. I'd still like to know how it happened.
Thanks for the lack of damage, Father.

good shoot
I thank God now for the favor, the good shoot today and the good parking. And the extra time to come back home and sleep for a bit. :)
salvation
"Jesus, take my life and do something with it." That's a great prayer. It'll get you saved. If you feel the inclination to do so, pray that out loud. If you do that and mean it, you're saved. Now just get into a good church where the Word of God (the Bible) is preached and get a good Bible yourself and start studying it. I suggest starting in Matthew (about 2/3 of the way through the Bible, or you can look it up in the table of contents). You'll be glad you did. Welcome.
